‘Cherish’ Fairy Belle Mini Album
Hi Everyone, hope you’re having a fabulous Saturday. I’ve been playing in my craft room, so I’ve sure been having a lot of fun. I finished this mini album last night and my craft room was a wreck! I create a project and have to get everything out it seems. Well, I have an OCD habit of each time that I finish a project, I have to clean my desk, put everything away and vaccum the floor before I attempt my next project. There’s just something about starting off with a clean “slate” that helps get my creativity going.
I couldn’t wait to cut into this brand new Prima Fairy Belle paper, I absolutely love it. Talk about girly! Butterflies, lace, chandeliers and fairies. Too pretty!
Here’s the mini album that I created.

Feel free to click on any of the photos to enlarge…
The album measures 7 1/2″ x 6″ x 1 3/4 inches so it is a nice manageable size. All of the “flap” parts are inserts and pull out. Each one is a photo mat and is covered with papers from the collection. I’ve added a stamped journaling spot to the back of each insert. I’ll post the video below so you can take a better look.
The gorgeous flowers on the cover are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.
If you have any questions, please let me know. Otherwise, thanks so much for stopping by today. I appreciate you. xx
A Keepsake Wedding Mini Album
Hi Everyone, I’ve been working on this mini album for the past week or so and today, I finished it! =) That’s always a good feeling. I’m really happy with how it came together. Especially since monochromatic colors are not an easy color scheme for me to use. It was a lot of fun, though.

Please be sure and click on each of the photos to enlarge…

12×12 Family Layout…
One of my 2012 goals is to create more 12×12 layouts throughout the year. This is my first one and my goal is to create 51 more. Hope you like seeing it.

My journaling is handwritten and is tucked behind the picture of my kiddos. Basically, the story behind the title “Dream Come True” is in reference to the dreaming that a little girl often does about their future family and how the family that God has given me far surpasses any dreams that I could have hoped to have. I never dreamed of the unconditional love and the feeling of security and pride that I could feel as a wife and mother and that they are way beyond a “Dream come true” for me. You know…mushy stuff like that, that’s why it’s hidden. teehee

Girly projects…
I’ve been playing around with my Teresa Collins “Posh” paper collection that I’ve had sitting around for several months. I’m not sure why I didn’t want to cut into it, but just the other day I decided to create a tag using it.
Here’s what I came up with…

I used the Tim Holtz Tag and Bookplates Sizzix die to cut out the tag shape. I upcycled a cereal box and added the patterned paper to the front and back of the tag.

Isn’t that butterfly puffy? It was just a black shape on the paper and I added Glossy Accents to it. While it was unset, I sprinkled Martha Stewart extra fine glitter onto it and I love the effect. It was something new that I thought of and it adds a nice dimension to the tag.

The flowers, lace and red bow came from Wild Orchid Crafts. The black bling is by Prima and the pink pleated ribbon is from a RAK that I received. I added some Martha Stewart glitter glue to the tips of the flower petals to bling it up a bit. The feather and doily came from Michaels and the ‘Thank you’ charm came from Joanns.
I had a lot of fun creating this tag; I made it for a friend and I hope she likes it.
I’ve also been working on a Valentine’s Day mini album and thought I’d share a sneak peek with you of the cover…

Lots of yummy WOC flowers on there. The center image is a Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage Cuts sheet. (I love those things!)

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you’re having a great weekend. xx
Season of Change…
I have a new mini album to share with you today. Well, just the cover actually as I’ve just started it last night. Not sure this one will go public once it’s finished, but we’ll see. I’m excited that I finally have started using my Mariposa papers.
I’ve been hoarding since my friend Claudia sent the Mariposa papers to me last Winter/Spring. Come on, admit it…you do that too sometimes! :c) With some things you have to just work up to actually using them. This has been one of those collections for me. I love it so much. It just seemed the appropriate paper for this album as the Mariposa is a great representation of change. No, this won’t turn into a Science lesson, my kiddos keep me busy enough with that, but you all probably know the cycle of the butterfly/moth. So having said that, I’ll tell you a little bit of what I’ve done here with the cover.

It measures 8″x8″ and has chipboard covers. The inside pages are all the cardstock papers that I’ve adhered back-to-back. It has enough inside pages for me to use a page each day starting with today and going through to American Thanksgiving day; which is the last Thursday in November. I’m using it like the Ali Edwards December Daily. (Such a great concept; which I will be doing this year as well). I’ve added some true vintage bridal trim, Prima lace, Say it in Pearls, and the large Prima flower (it was white but I GM, and painted it). The smaller 5 flowers came from Wild Orchid Crafts. I’ve added a cameo, stick pin, and TH Trinket pin and token. The chipboard frame has been Glimmer Misted (GM), painted, sanded, and embossed to give it a rather rustic look. I printed the title off using Microsoft Word and distressed it a bit. I’ve added an acetate window to the frame to protect the title. I don’t plan on adding a photo so I’ve adhered the frame down on all sides. I’m thinking the album is going to get pretty thick, so I’m planning to use 3″ rings or jute rope to bind it once it’s filled. As the days progress, I’m going to be adding envelopes, pockets, and transparencies throughout so I’ll decide on the binding later. I’ve used my Binderie to punch the holes. I don’t use it nearly as much as I should, it’s such a useful, quick little tool.
Here’s a bit of a close-up:

Challenges Entered:
Cute Card Thursday: What’s Buggin’ You (Butterflies)
Stamptacular Sunday: No cards allowed

I also got some gorgeous new rubbah from I Brake for Stamps! Whoop! If you’d like to see my goodies, you can watch this video: (It’s a bit darker because I pulled my desk away from the window as the sun was gorgeous but blinding!) lol
Thank you so much for poppin’ in, I hope you have time to say, “hi” and let me know what you think. Have a wonderful week. xx
Completed “Family” Mini Album
Hello Lovely Ladies,
Was so excited to finish the first of a pretty long list of projects that I’m making as gifts. I shared the cover with you the other day, and I finished the rest this afternoon. I made it for a friend who doesn’t scrapbook…yet. :c) I wanted to keep it pretty straight forward and easy to fill with photos.
Here’s the video:
