Le Romantique Tag…

Happy Saturday!  I did a bit of creating today so I thought I would share with you the tag that I made for a friend…

This is the #8-sized shipping tag die that is by Tim Holtz.  It mades a really nice size for altering and doing whatever you’d like to it.

These gorgeous flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts as well as the butterfly and the faux rhinestone ribbon slider.

The papers are from the Le Romantique range by Graphic 45.  One of my favorite paper collections of all time! Each of the pages are so pretty.

I die cut the butterfly using the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Sizzix die using fabric from SaCrafter’s store on Zibbet (I don’t have the link, but just as you would with etsy, you can type in her store name with Zibbet.

Hope you like it, and if you would like to see me creating this tag, you can check out the 10+ minute YouTube video below, or go directly to my YouTube channel HERE.

If you have any questions or comments please feel free, otherwise thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. xx

Christmas Cards – Swap on ‘the Beach’

Hello Lovelies,  I have 3 cards to share with you today.  They are all Christmas cards that I created for a swap that I’m involved in over at the ScrapBeach.  I was to create 6 cards that were identical and I will *fingers crossed* get 6 different cards in return.  I signed up for 3 sets, so in exchange for the 18 cards I made, I’m really looking forward to getting 18 cards sent back to me.  I’ll let you know when they arrive and will share them all with you.  The theme was Thankgiving, Thankful, or Christmas.  Since most of us send out many Christmas cards, I thought I’d stick with that theme.

Two are pretty simple, but the last one (although it looks simple) took HOURS to make for some reason.  Most of that time is spent just figuring out what your going to do, and then setting it all up to cut in one swoop on my Cricut.  Hope you enjoy seeing them.

I used my Cricut Expression 2, my Gypsy and the Create-a-Critter cartridge for this one.  I cut the reindeer and it’s layers at 3″.

More info is in the video below.

Vintage Christmas Card I madeI’ve used the Simple Stories 25-Days of Christmas papers for this one and the one below.  I love this paper line!

Magazine Commissions; Day 2 of 6

Hi again and a very happy Sunday to each of you!  I have a family reunion to head off to after church so it’s going to be a busy day.  Its the BIG kind of family reunion where family from out of state all come in and spend the week, so it will be nice to see family I haven’t seen for years (some I have no idea who they are!) lol  It will be a lot of fun.

So if you missed my post yesterday HERE, you won’t know why I am posting 2 different cards with the same stamp, but if you feel like it and if you have time, go back and read the full story below.  Yesterdays card, todays, and tomorrows card all use stamps from I Brake for Stamps that the magazine specifically requested that I use; which is really exciting to me (and Della! Hi Della!:c).  She has such amazing stamps!

This one is called “1902 Cottage” and you can find it HERE on the IBFS website.  As with yesterday’s post, this is the “wrong” coloured card, and below that is where I went back and remade it using the correct Letraset Promarker colours. Again, you’d have to read the story to know what I’m talking about. :-)

Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine card

The cards are very similiar, but the above card uses colours that weren’t the markers that I needed to colour with…

Card

Sorry it’s a bit darker…

Hope you enjoy seeing these cards.  I enjoy this stamp as well.  It reminds me of a quaint Irish thatched cottage.  That was the reason that I ordered it.  If you’d like to add this nice stamp to your stamp collection, you can order it here, and feel free to get it for $3.82 (unmounted) or $4.50 (cling foam mounted) by using my discount: SAVE10ROBYN  Enjoy!

Thanks again for stopping by today, and thank you so much for your kind comments.  I really enjoy reading each one of them. (((hugs)))
