Mother’s Day Card…

Hi Everyone, I first would like to apologize for not posting in a couple of weeks.  My kiddos have been on Spring break, we did some traveling and of course had a wonderful Easter.  It is soooo nice to be able to enjoy some nice Spring weather, isn’t it!?! =)

Can you believe it’s the 18th of April already?  Wow, time is flying and Mother’s Day (here in N. America, anyway) will be here before we know it.   The date this year is May 13th.   I’m planning on sharing several simple Mother’s Day projects over the next couple of weeks.  If you have any requests, please let me know.  Otherwise, I have a list of things I’ll work off of.

So, for todays card, I’ve used Hats from I Brake for Stamps.  It has a vintage, Victorian feel to it so I went with a more muted color scheme.

The card measures 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″.

I’ve used my Letraset Promarkers to color in the hat and stands.

Of course, I had to add my favorite Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.  I’ve also used a metal filigree corner, seam binding and lace from WOC.  The charm is from my stash and finally, the paper collection that I’ve used is the Miss Caroline “Fiddlesticks.”

I mentioned in the blog title that this is meant to be a Mother’s Day card, but it would also make a great birthday, get well, thinking of you, etc.

If you have any questions, let me know.  xx

Think Spring!

Hi Everyone,  I have a Spring/Easter-themed card to share with you today using the Bunnies & Watering Can stamp from IBFS.  I’ve created a shaped card that measures 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ using my Cricut.
Shaped handmade Easter card
This card is for sale HERE.
I colored in the image using my Letraset Promarkers, cut it out and then popped it up using dimensional foam.  The “Think Spring” stamp came from the Every Day Phrases sheet.  The inside sentiment says, “Happy Easter” that also came from the same sheet.
Happy Spring!

Adorable Wee Leo

Top o’ the mornin’ to ye!  ’Tis almost St. Paddy’s Day so I thought I’d share a fun little card using Leo the Leprechaun; which is a new release over at IBFS.  He’s such a cutie!  I’ve added an Action Wobble to the back of him so he even does a little jig…so cute!  If you have time to watch the video, you can see him go, go, go! =)  The Action Wobble Springs are available to purchase in my store HERE.

If you would like to purchase Leo the Leprechaun, feel free to save 10% off by using my personal discount from I Brake for Stamps.  Its SAVE10ROBYN.  Enjoy!

Enjoy the rest of your day, and thanks for stopping by today.  I always appreciate it.  Don’t forget to play along with our Easter challenge over at the IBFS challenge blog.

Because He Lives – IBFS Challenge 19

Happy Wednesday to each of you!  It’s supposed to be a lovely, sunny day here in Michigan with a whopping 64°F.  I plan on soaking up some of that warmth!  Is anybody else ready for Spring?  Woohoo!  To get things rolling, we have another challenge over on the challenge blog beginning today.  The theme is Easter and there is a lot of inspiration over there.   Hope you’ll be able to play along.
I’ve used a new release stamp called “Because He Lives” and I think it sums it all up!  I really love it.   The “Happy Easter” sentiment came from Every Day Phrases; which is one of my absolute favorite sets.

I handmade the chiffon flower, the rosebuds are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ivory leaf trim is from my store.

Here is the inside…

Of course, I also had to use my other favorite set called Inspirational Phrases; which I stamped on the inside of the card.  I think it’s such a fabulous set!  There are 28 different sentiments on this set so you can see why I use it on nearly every card that I make. =)  Love…

Well, that’s it for me for today.  I hope you’ll pop over to the challenge blog and take a look at what the other DT have come up with.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Hope your week is a fabulous one! ❤

Silver Bells…

Hi Everyone,

I hope you’re all having a great December and are enjoying all of the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season.  My husband and I have been out of the country from December 1-12 so when we returned, I literally had to hit the ground running.  I’m finally getting over the jet lag that I didn’t have time for! lol   I’ve been enjoying listening to a LOT of Christmas music as I work on Christmas gifts and address all of the cards that I should have already had out in the mail.  Ah well, they went out today so there is still hope!

I made quite a few of this particular card as it was quick to mass produce and looks like I spent more time on it than I really did.   I heat embossed the Holiday Bells stamp from I Brake for Stamps with silver embossing powder.  I love the ribbon in the stamp and the classy-looking bells!

Holiday Bells StampIt measures a standard A2 size (4.25 x 5.5″) and I’ve dry embossed the card front using a Sizzix embossing folder from Stampin’ Up! (can’t recall the name).  To that I’ve added a silver glitter mat measuring 4.0″ x 5.25″ just to make it ‘pop.’  The hop layer measures 3.75″ x 5″.  The blue cardstock is Not Quite Navy by SU!.  The sentiment is an SU! stamp.  I decided to round 2 of the corners on all of the layers to soften it a bit, and finished the card off with some half-backed pearls.

I think this bell stamp would be a nice one for a wedding card as well…and can you totally see that ribbon paper pieced with pretty, feminine paper?  Love it…definitely going to try that when I have time!  You can see this and thousands of other stamps on the IBFS website (and get a 10% off discount too by using my personal discount: SAVE10ROBYN).

Enjoy the busyness!  It’s a magical time of year! xx

Christmas Puppy…

Such a cute little puppy; he’s just as sweet as they come.  This is Christmas Puppy from I Brake for Stamps and I was so glad to get him.  Although I’m not much of a kitty fan (sorry), I do love dogs (especially puppies!)

I decided on a soft, non-traditional colored card for today with lots of pinks and pastel colors.  The paper is from Webster’s Pages, so it was my color inspiration.

I’ve used several nesties on here:  Oval, Labels 14, and Fancy Tags 1.  I added some Stickles around a bit to add some sparkle.  The silk ribbon, filigree corner accent and pearl brads are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The puppy has been colored using my Letraset Promarkers; love using those things! :)

Okay, that’s my Christmas card share for today.  I hope it inspires you to make something handmade this Christmas season.  If you’d like to check out the Christmas Puppy, you can follow the link HERE.  If you decide you want him please feel free to save 10% on your entire order by using my discount code:  SAVE10ROBYN

Thanks a bunch for stopping by today.  I truly and sincerely appreciate it.  Have a blessed rest of your day. xx
