12×12 Family Layout…

One of my 2012 goals is to create more 12×12 layouts throughout the year.  This is my first one and my goal is to create 51 more.  Hope you like seeing it.

My journaling is handwritten and is tucked behind the picture of my kiddos.  Basically, the story behind the title “Dream Come True” is in reference to the dreaming that a little girl often does about their future family and how the family that God has given me far surpasses any dreams that I could have hoped to have.  I never dreamed of the unconditional love and the feeling of security and pride that I could feel as a wife and mother and that they are way beyond a “Dream come true” for me.  You know…mushy stuff like that, that’s why it’s hidden.  teehee

Girly projects…

I’ve been playing around with my Teresa Collins “Posh” paper collection that I’ve had sitting around for several months.  I’m not sure why I didn’t want to cut into it, but just the other day I decided to create a tag using it.

Here’s what I came up with…

I used the Tim Holtz Tag and Bookplates Sizzix die to cut out the tag shape.  I upcycled a cereal box and added the patterned paper to the front and back of the tag.

Isn’t that butterfly puffy?  It was just a black shape on the paper and I added Glossy Accents to it.  While it was unset, I sprinkled Martha Stewart extra fine glitter onto it and I love the effect.  It was something new that I thought of and it adds a nice dimension to the tag.

The flowers, lace and red bow came from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The black bling is by Prima and the pink pleated ribbon is from a RAK that I received.  I added some Martha Stewart glitter glue to the tips of the flower petals to bling it up a bit.  The feather and doily came from Michaels and the ‘Thank you’ charm came from Joanns.

I had a lot of fun creating this tag;  I made it for a friend and I hope she likes it.

I’ve also been working on a Valentine’s Day mini album and thought I’d share a sneak peek with you of the cover…

Lots of yummy WOC flowers on there.  The center image is a Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage Cuts sheet. (I love those things!)

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you’re having a great weekend. xx

Birthday Mini Album

Today I made this super simple mini album for my daughter’s friend who just turned 12. Her birthday party was today, and of course, with moving into our house this week I was last-minute nellie. I started it last night and worked on it for about an hour and then finished it up this morning…about 10 minutes before she was leaving for the party. Whewww! I got it done though.

And here’s the video explaining what products I’ve used…

Hope you enjoy seeing it. :c)

Coffee Sleeve Mini Album

I created this simple, quick mini album using Tim Horton’s coffee sleeves.  It was a lot of fun to create.  I made it for Natasha who serves as our DT coordinator for the Wild Orchid Crafts design team as a thank you for a RAK that she sent me.  Thanks again Natasha. :c)  Hope you like it…

Birthday Gifts…

Hello Lovely Ladies (and Gents),I have a couple of projects to share with you today. My daughter, Suzanne, who is our youngest had a birthday party to go to this past weekend. She wanted to make her friend a handmade gift, so we opted for a very basic mini album, an altered wall hanging from Hobby Lobby and of course a card.

This is what we came up with:

First the card…

Leah's Birthday CardThis is one of the cutie-patootie stamps from the new release set called Sarah’s Girls from I Brake for Stamps.  I really, really enjoy using these for sorts of cards this month!  They are easy to color and are also perfect for paper piecing.  If you would like to order one for yourself, the link is above and if you’d like to save 10% off of your whole order, please feel free to use my discount (SAVE10ROBYN) at checkout. :c)    The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts (where else!?!) :c)

Here is a little mini album (very basic as the little girl “we” made it for just turned 11 and has not scrapped before.

On the mini album above, I used the scalloped square Sizzix Bigz die to create the base of the pages and used the same paper from Hobby Lobby for decorating the album that I used for her card (above).

Leahs customized wall hanging

Lastly, we came across this wall hanging at Hobby Lobby (in the clearance section) and my daughter wanted to get it for her friend.  With a little touching up (with Wild Orchid Crafts flowers) it made a nice little gift.  It measures 7″ x 7″.  I added a few Prima Say it in Pearls to the corner to finish it off.  Super fast and my daughter was really happy to give it to her friend.

I hope you enjoy seeing them.  Thanks for stopping by today.  You make my day brighter when you do. :c)

Two Little Love Minis

Happy New Year Everyone!  I hope you have a wonderful start of 2011!  Not that I’m trying to rush past the holidays, but I have a couple of teeny little mini albums to share with you today using the new Valentine’s Day papers that I got last week.  The collection is K&Company Lovely.

The gorgeous flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I’ve used their exclusive Hellebore flower on the cover of the first one as well as some roses and rose buds.  The second mini has 3 of their lovely cherry blossoms.    I really love how they add just the right touch to any project.  I really love the gorgeous Hellebores!  For the tags, I’ve added some of the flat flowers from their Blooms set that I’ve sprayed.

Tiny little mini album

To created these (which by the way take about an hour – so quick and so cute!) I followed Laura’s tutorial.  She does such a great job with designing and teaching; I truly appreciate and admire her!

Valentine Teeny Mini Album #2

Valentine Be Mini

The butterfly punch as well as the leaf punch are both by Martha Stewart.  The half-backed pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I’ve added some yummy ribbon rosette trim to the spine that I picked up last summer while we were back in the States from Hobby Lobby.  I’m almost out of it, so am really rationing it out. haha  I love the soft, delicate look of it.

Tiny Valentine's Mini

I have a couple more projects to share, but will save them for another post. I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend, and those to whom it applies – I hope you have a great bank holiday on Monday.  Thank you so much for stopping by today, I truly do appreciate it.  Be safe and be blessed! xx
