Birthday Teapot Card

Hi Everyone, I hope you’re having a great day today.  I have a fun, shaped card to share with you today.  One of my favorite things to collect is teapots and tea cups.  I started when my girls were little so we could enjoy hours and hours of tea parties.  Over the years, we’ve made a lot of special memories and have had treasured times “playing” tea party.    When I saw the Cricut cartridge called Love you a Latte, I knew I had to get it.  The special times with my girls is what inspired today’s card.I used my Cricut and Gypsy to create the shape using pink textured cardstock.  The sentiment stamp on the outside is from the Every Day Phrases.

This is the inside sentiment (below).  It comes from the Inspirational Phrases sheet; which is my all-time favorite set from IBFS. =)
This card was a lot of fun to create and I hope you’re able to see just how versatile these wonderful stamps sheets are.  Love them!
Thanks for stopping by today.  If you have any questions, let me know. ;)

Altered Glassine Bag Project

One of my favorite things to do is to alter things and customize them into something that I can turn into a gift for someone.  This project is a simple one and could be used for any occasion.  I made this one a birthday-theme, but it this little gift packaging could be part of a table setting, a party favor, small thinking of you gift filled with candies just to let someone know that you think they’re special.

The bag measures 8″ x 5 1/2″ so is quite a good size for gift giving of small items.

  • The layers are from the Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge and I ran it through my Big Shot using the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The oval is using the Nestabilities.
  • I’ve paper-pieced the stamped image using Echo Park papers.

Mother’s Day Card…

Hi Everyone, I first would like to apologize for not posting in a couple of weeks.  My kiddos have been on Spring break, we did some traveling and of course had a wonderful Easter.  It is soooo nice to be able to enjoy some nice Spring weather, isn’t it!?! =)

Can you believe it’s the 18th of April already?  Wow, time is flying and Mother’s Day (here in N. America, anyway) will be here before we know it.   The date this year is May 13th.   I’m planning on sharing several simple Mother’s Day projects over the next couple of weeks.  If you have any requests, please let me know.  Otherwise, I have a list of things I’ll work off of.

So, for todays card, I’ve used Hats from I Brake for Stamps.  It has a vintage, Victorian feel to it so I went with a more muted color scheme.

The card measures 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″.

I’ve used my Letraset Promarkers to color in the hat and stands.

Of course, I had to add my favorite Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.  I’ve also used a metal filigree corner, seam binding and lace from WOC.  The charm is from my stash and finally, the paper collection that I’ve used is the Miss Caroline “Fiddlesticks.”

I mentioned in the blog title that this is meant to be a Mother’s Day card, but it would also make a great birthday, get well, thinking of you, etc.

If you have any questions, let me know.  xx

Sweet Wee Suzy…

Hey there, and a very happy Thursday to you!  I wanted to share a card that I created this past weekend that I think is just adorable.  I’m so smitten with the Wee stamps that are available through the IBFS website.  This little sweetie is Wee Suzy.  She is just precious!

I decided to create an easel card; which measures 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″.  So much fun to make and I really like the rich rose tones.

This card is available for sale in my store HERE.

Here are some more photos of different detail views.  You can click on each to enlarge.

Think Spring!

Hi Everyone,  I have a Spring/Easter-themed card to share with you today using the Bunnies & Watering Can stamp from IBFS.  I’ve created a shaped card that measures 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ using my Cricut.
Shaped handmade Easter card
This card is for sale HERE.
I colored in the image using my Letraset Promarkers, cut it out and then popped it up using dimensional foam.  The “Think Spring” stamp came from the Every Day Phrases sheet.  The inside sentiment says, “Happy Easter” that also came from the same sheet.
Happy Spring!

An Easter and a Spring Card

Hi Everyone,  I have 2 cards to share with you today.  It’s been such a beautiful day/week! I’m so excited that it is officially Spring as of today!

This cute little Egg Basket stamp from IBFS makes creating Easter cards a snap. I’ve colored it in using m Letraset Promarkers and I then cut it out.
I’ve added Martha Stewart glitter glue to the bow/ribbon and have covered the eggs in the basket with Glossy Accents.
I’ve added the ‘Happy Easter’ sentiment; which comes from the Every Day Phrases sheet to the inside of the card.
This second card is using the Every Day Phrases sheet as well, I’ve stamped the Think Spring to the banner and then curled it a bit to add some dimension.  I’ve added some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, as well.
If you’d like to take any of these lovely stamps home and would like to save 10% off of your entire order from I Brake for Stamps, please feel free to use my personal discount code: SAVE10ROBYN.  Enjoy!
