Get Well Soon Card
Hi Everyone, it’s Robyn here today. I have a Get Well card that I made for a friend of mine. I hope it brightens her day and lets her know how special I think she is. I’ve used 3 different stamp sheets; which happen to be all 3 on my favorite’s list. The outside sentiment came from Every Day Phrases, the lovely butterflies came from Butterfly Kisses, and last but not least…my all-time favorite sheet…Inspirational Phrases. I use that sheet, it seems, for every card I create! Very versatile!I fussy cut the butterflies and only adhered them to the card along the thorax so the wings would be dimensional.

Valentine’s Day Swap Cards
Well, I started the year off right and joined in on the monthly card swap over at thescrapbeach.ning.com. =) Well, I’ve actually been participating in this swap for several months now but hope to continue to do so throughout 2012. I signed up for 2 ‘slots’; which I was to make 6 cards for each. The theme was Valentine’s Day. Here are the cards that I came up with…

The phrase came from the Every Day Phrases sheet from I Brake for Stamps. It is fast becoming my new favorite stamp set as it’s so versatile.
Here is the inside of the card…

The inside sentiment came from long-time favorite set called Inspirational Phrases (this set is my go-to stamp sheet-I love it!) The butterflies came from the Butterfly Kisses set.
This second card is my favorite… (I’ve enclosed a video tutorial below)

The outside sentiment also came from the Every Day Phrases sheet. Lastly, here is the inside of the card; which uses the Happy Valentine’s Day Bold stamp. You can click on the names to see the whole sheet of each set. Also, if you would like or order any of them please feel free to use my personal discount code: SAVE10ROBYN Enjoy!

Thanks for popping in today. I always appreciate it! Have a great day! xx
I Brake for Simple Challenge

Silver Bells…
Hi Everyone,
I hope you’re all having a great December and are enjoying all of the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. My husband and I have been out of the country from December 1-12 so when we returned, I literally had to hit the ground running. I’m finally getting over the jet lag that I didn’t have time for! lol I’ve been enjoying listening to a LOT of Christmas music as I work on Christmas gifts and address all of the cards that I should have already had out in the mail. Ah well, they went out today so there is still hope!
I made quite a few of this particular card as it was quick to mass produce and looks like I spent more time on it than I really did. I heat embossed the Holiday Bells stamp from I Brake for Stamps with silver embossing powder. I love the ribbon in the stamp and the classy-looking bells!
It measures a standard A2 size (4.25 x 5.5″) and I’ve dry embossed the card front using a Sizzix embossing folder from Stampin’ Up! (can’t recall the name). To that I’ve added a silver glitter mat measuring 4.0″ x 5.25″ just to make it ‘pop.’ The hop layer measures 3.75″ x 5″. The blue cardstock is Not Quite Navy by SU!. The sentiment is an SU! stamp. I decided to round 2 of the corners on all of the layers to soften it a bit, and finished the card off with some half-backed pearls.
I think this bell stamp would be a nice one for a wedding card as well…and can you totally see that ribbon paper pieced with pretty, feminine paper? Love it…definitely going to try that when I have time! You can see this and thousands of other stamps on the IBFS website (and get a 10% off discount too by using my personal discount: SAVE10ROBYN).
Enjoy the busyness! It’s a magical time of year! xx
