I’ve used an Articus Studio mold called Key to My Heart, Large to create the heart-shaped lock and key. I added my Creative Paperclay into the mold and left it to dry overnight. I then painted the lock and key using pink acrylic paint and then dry brushed on some vintage white acrylic paint. Finally, I rubbed on gold some Rub ‘n Buff.
This is what the inside pages look like. I just typed it up on my computer using Microsoft Word.
I’ve used my Bind-it-all to create the book binding.
Here is the inside of the assembled book…
This is a fun, quick project and make great little gifts. Hope you give them a try. You can see more Creative Paperclay project ideas on the blog here.
Love Cast in Clay Blog Hop
Hello Everyone and a very warm welcome to the Creative Paperclay/Amazing Mold Putty Blog Hop! My name is Robyn and I’m a design team member for Creative Paperclay. You should have arrived here from #10; which is Aimee’s blog. (You can see the hop list in my right sidebar). I’m really excited to share with you what I’ve come up with for our “Love Cast in Clay” theme. Since it’s nearing Valentine’s Day, I couldn’t help but think of the Love-of-my-life, my wonderful husband. So, I decided to create a couple of embellishments using a mold created from Amazing Mold Putty and Creative Paperclay to add to a frame that I wanted to alter. We had a picture taken of the two of us back in November and I wanted to put one on my bedside table.
Here is what I came up with… (the frame measures 5″ x 7″)

Feel free to click on each photo to enlarge…
- Paint a base coat of acrylic paint
- Apply Crackle Medium and once dry add top coat of acrylic paint
- Crackle effect should look something like this.
- Paint your Creative Paperclay piece
- Then add accents of paint around it.
- I added a bit of shimmer paint.
- Gather your embellishments.
- Here is a close-up of the Creative Paperclay embellies.
- So pretty! I ❤ Creative Paperclay.
- Here is a close up of the Cameo…but watch!
- Add a touch of Rub n Buff – GORGEOUS!
- Decorate your project.
