Handmade Card: From the Heart
This handmade card has a lot of texture and different things going on. I love the Graphic 45 papers in the background and on the bird. The Tim Holtz flowers and bird cage were cut with grunge board. I LOVE the I Brake for Stamps collage Eiffel Rose Collage stamp here too. More details below…
I’m really excited to once again share with you another wonderful stamp from I Brake for Stamps. This is the small Eiffel Rose Collage. For this card, I used the Eiffel Tower stamp; which I have embossed in black. The card base measures 5 1/4″ square. The patterned paper is from the Graphic 45 Renaissance Faire collection and measures 5″x5″. I added some Kraft colored taffeta ribbon using a simple knot and a bit of torn book page behind the cage. The bird cage/bird (also available at 10% off through I Brake for Stamps using my coupon discount code) as well as the flowers are both Tim Holtz dies. The stamped sentiment and banner are Tattered Angels. I really love the Paris stamp (this is the smaller one) but I loved it so much that I ordered the larger version as well. The fine detail is amazing! I think it is perfect for coloring using various mediums whether it be markers, chalks, watercolor paints, etc.: Can’t wait to give that a try!

I used Distress Embossing Powder (Antique Linen) by Ranger on the caged bird die; which gives it a nice texture and look. The flowers were cut from swirled grunge board; which I’ve Glimmer Misted and inked up. I also REALLY love the true vintage button that I picked up while at a garage sale in the States.

If you decide to purchase this stamp (I ordered the cling foam mounted) or any other products from IBFS you can save 10% off of your entire order by using the coupon code: SAVE10ROBYN. You may also wish to check out the nice variety of Tim Holtz merchandise available! Coupon code is good for your total order! Just a reminder that they do ship international. Hope that helps. :c)

Handmade Card: Kindness
Here is a lovely handmade card created using the Sizzix butterfly die – LOVE IT! I stamped on it and then colored it in to match the colors of the card stock that I’ve used in the card. More details below…
I have a quick post to share with you today of a card that I am going to drop off at the Post Office tomorrow. Just a simple thank you card. I really try my best not to get behind on my “Thank you” cards so as not to send the wrong impression to the person(s) who have been good to me. I think it shows the recipient that I not only appreciate the kindness they have shown, but it also conveys that I appreciate them as a friend. Plus…it’s just fun for them to get mail! :c) So, that’s my card share for today. I actually made 2 of the same and they are both ready to go out in the morning. They are pretty simple, I die cut 2 butterflies (one in pink and one is ivory). I stamped the flower using Timber Brown StazOn and then colored it in. I spritzed on some brown ink and distressed the edges. The card base is chocolate brown cardstock and to that I added a layer of pink and then Kraft cardstock; both inked and distressed. I added some twine and half-back pearls. The “Kindness” sentiment is an Stampin’ Up! stamp called “Define your Life”, and I cut that out with a Sizzlet using my Big Shot. So, that’s pretty much it in a nutshell, as they say. Hope you like it.
Thank you for stopping by today. You are very special! I always appreciate you taking the time to visit my site to see what I’ve been up to. :c) I hope you have a wonderful week. xx
Tim Holtz Baroque Die Tips
I have a couple of tips that I’ve just discovered while playing using the Tim Holtz Baroque Bigz die, I share them in the video below.
I have a couple of cards to share with you today. Two nights ago I learned of a fundraiser that Jade of JadedStudios on YouTube is having for a personal friend of mine who recently suffered the sudden loss of her dear husband. Here is the card that I came up with. The first one was my original sample, but I decided to change it up a bit and went with the second card. The main image stamp that I used is from I Brake for Stamps. It’s in the same set as the one I showed you in yesterday’s post. What a versatile set! I’m really enjoying them! Oh…before I forget…I didn’t take a picture of the inside of the card, but it says, “…keep in touch.”

I should have known better than to post about my card on my YouTube channel because I got a bit weepy. If you do watch the video, I apologize in advance. As I mentioned, Claudia has been a very dear friend to me, so I was/am especially touched by Jade’s kind effort. We have such an amazing scrappy community on YT!! I’ve seen these ladies pull together time and time again to help a friend in need.
So, here’ the video anyway. I will say though, that at the end of the video, I share a practical use tip and an altered die use tip; which I think are pretty neat when using the Tim Holtz Baroque Alterations die.
Let me know what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by today. Your comments always make me smile! I hope you have a blessed weekend! xx
Vintage Butterfly
Don’t you just enjoy butterflies? I sure do, that is why I created this handmade card using the cracked glass technique with this lovely Bigz butterfly die. The papers that I’ve used are from the Prima Watercolor Rainbow collection.

Dreamy Hydrangeas…
Happy Sunday lovely ladies! It’s my favorite day of the week, and it’s a gorgeous one! I am pretty much done with my unpacking, and was able to get a bit of crafting done. One of the projects I started working on yesterday is in the early stages, so it’s too soon to share with you today. Hopefully by the end of the week. But I do have some cards that I just finished. I have a lot of correspondence to catch up on, so I went with the “assembly line” card so I could make several of them pretty fast. Because they will be mailed, I kept them clean looking and pretty flat.

This is a brand new hostess stamp set from Stampin’ Up! called “Because I Care” that will be available from a demonstrator starting July 1. Isn’t it lovely!?! I fell in love with it because Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers. I couldn’t wait to stamp with it. I love the natural blues and purples that they commonly bloom in, so that is the color palate that I chose. The embossing folder is also a new release (July 1) called “Vintage Wallpaper.” If you like these, be sure an go the the SU website and locate a demo. I stamped the flowers twice, trimmed them out, and popped them up with dimensional foam. I’m sure the picture isn’t picking it up, but I dazzled them up with Dazzling Diamond dust around the flower centers. I ♥ SPARKLE!
Thank you sweeties for stopping by today. I truly appreciate it, and hope you’ve found a bit of inspiration here. I’m off to start working on a new mini album. :c) Fun! xx
Challenge #27 – Paper Piecing
Hello Lovelies,
Happy Wednesday! Our weather here is showing promising signs of Spring’s arrival! In honor of winter’s end (finally) lol, I have a Spring card to share with you today. I was playing along over at Marie’s blog and enjoyed participating in this week’s challenge; Paper Piecing. To go along with the challenge, I added patterned paper to the basket as well as the tiny little bird. I watercolored the rest of the image with my watercolor crayons and pencils.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I truly appreciate it and hope it was worth your trip.
