Altered Frame/Box

Two yummy projects: An altered, crackled painted picture frame and an altered Christmas mail box.

Hi Everyone,

I’ve been busy creating so many different types of things lately that I almost forget to stop and take pictures to share with you all. I  have an altered frame to share with you that I picked up the other day at the Heart Foundation Charity Shop (Re-sale shop).  I’m always on the look-out for frames at these type of shops as a lot of times you can pick them up for a song and then re-purpose them and pretty them up. :c)  Then below are a couple of still photos of the Christmas mailbox (US Post box) that I created yesterday.  I didn’t get a chance to take pictures last night.

Here are some pictures of the frame…

The frame measures 9″ x 11″ and was raw pine.

I painted it brown and then added crackle medium before painting on the cream acrylic paint.  The gorgeous flowers all came from Wild Orchid Crafts.  If you haven’t checked out their website, its just full of gorgeous-ness!  Is that a word?  I added some Prima lace, Prima pearls, pearl trim, and Webster’s Pages paper.  The sentiment is a sticker that I cut out using my labels #14 nesties.  The paper can be removed and be replaced with an 8″ x 10″ photo.

From Wild Orchid Crafts, I’ve used the smaller sized Flat Gardenias, Cherry Blossoms, 25mm (I believe) Roses, 15mm Roses, and 4mm closed Rosebuds.

I love the crackling effect, it’s almost as exciting to me as when my embossing powder melts while I’m embossing. LOL  I’m easily amused!

Here are a few photos of the mailbox for my friends that aren’t able to watch the videos…

Side note:  My camera just does not like the color red for some reason.

These are the lovely new Hellebores (white center flower) from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Christmas Neighbor Gift Idea

Sharing an altered mail box that I created for as a neighbor Christmas gift idea.

Hi Ladies,
I’ve just finished a little gift that I created for my neighbor. I plan to fill it with homemade Christmas goodies. I used one of the mail boxes from Target that I got ages ago along with lots of gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. I’ve used their brand new Hellebores, Cherry Blossoms, and 15mm deep red roses.

Here’s the video telling what all I’ve used…

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’re having a great week. For my US friends, I’m sure you’re getting all ready for Thanksgiving. I know we are here at our house. Lots of baking going on tomorrow! Fun, fun! My girls and I just love it! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving on Thursday with your loved one. Make someone feel extra special. :c) xx

PS – When you get a chance to head over to the Wild Orchid Crafts website, take a peek along the left sidebar at what they added last week; sure makes me feel special!  I so ❤ Wild Orchid Crafts. Thank you Paul and Siri.:c)

Handmade Christmas: Altered Tin

This is an altered tin that makes an ideal little Christmas gift either given alone filled with sweet treats, or added to a home made goodie basket tied with a big red bow.  This one is filled with chocolates and goes with a whole ensemble of Christmas goodies.  I love the look of Vintage Christmas that it reminds me of.

Candy Cane Story…

This sweet little tag would make a great addition to your Christmas gift packaging. I’ve used the  Legend of the Candy Cane Story stamp  and attached it to the  Top Note tag.

Hellooooo Ladies! I am finally able to post! It’s just been absolutely crazy-busy with school and life that I haven’t been able to get away to post or even get online for that matter. I apologize for that. Thanks for stopping by today, I always appreciate it.

So today I have a sweet little project to share with you that I created using the Legend of the Candy Cane stamp from I Brake for Stamps.  I really love the saying on it.  The stamp itself is a nice size so it works perfect for tags or cards.  I’m sure I’ll be getting a lot of use out of it this Christmas season.

If you would like to order this stamp, please feel free to use my discount code: SAVE10ROBYN to save yourself 10%. :c)

Thank you for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate it and hope you have a truly wonderful weekend.  I know I am behind on my e-mails.  I hope to get caught up this weekend.  Thank you so much for your patience.   You are very special! xx

Gift Box and Cards

Handmade 3×3 gift box and notecards that I created using Basic Grey Green at Heart paper collection.  The flower was created using the Sizzix Daisy #2 die.

Hi Ladies,

Where has the week gone to?  It seems that as the weather changes that the days just seem to go by so much faster.   We have some family plans over the weekend, so I’m super excited.  I am just popping in rather quickly to share a couple of projects with you that I’ve made over the past week. The “Miss ya…” card is a standard 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ size.  The paper collection and embellishments are from the  Basic Gray Green at Heart collection.  I made the flower using the Daisy #2 Sizzix Bigz die cut from Bazzill cardstock.

These aren’t papers that I am naturally drawn to, but this is the collection from the September kit, and it has been fun to work with.  They are very whimsical and bright.

I created this sweet little 3″ x 3″ gift box using green Bazzill cardstock from the kit.  I punched a decorative strip using a MS punch and then cut it in half lengthwise and attached it around the lid of the box.  I added tiny gems to the “flower” centers although it’s really hard to see in the photo.  I made the lollipop flower using satin fabric.

I made a matching 3″ x 3″ little notecard and added a decorative paper to the envelope flap.  (The envie came from Stampin’ Up!) It makes a quick little project and a special custom gift.

Well, that’s about it for today.  Thank you for taking the time to stop by, your visits are much appreciated.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend. xx
