DIY Ribbon Storage – Thanks again, Hubby!
Hi Everyone, I have another DIY project to share with you today. My hubby has been at it again and has designed a wonderful way for me to store my ribbons. This perfectly accommodates all of the ribbons that I have had stored in baskets, tubs and boxes for the past 5-6 years. You know what they say, “Out of sight, out of mind.” Well, that certainly has been true of me with regards to my ribbons. I tend to need to see what I have in order to use it on a regular basis. Are you like that, too?
Here are a couple of photos. I was going to take some close-ups buy my camera battery died. I will plan to add some more here later. Click HERE to see my blog post about my DIY Punch storage. =) Click HERE to see my DIY Glimmer Spray Storage. Click HERE to see how I’ve re-purposed a grocery container to store all of my paper flowers. =)
It fits nicely just behind my door and doesn’t interfere with the door opening all of the way (even with the punches). I absolutely love it. So grateful to my hubby for taking an idea I had and making it happen. I sure love that man! Total project cost: $10 (He already had a few of the items left over from when he made my punch storage.
It measures 2′ wide x 5′ tall x 3″ deep The top 3 dowels; which are 1/2″ are removable so that I can change out the ribbons. Those are my larger spools so I know it will take me ages before I need to do that. The rest of the dowels are attached permanently and the ribbons just slot on top of the dowels and set in there nicely. I wanted to be able to remove the ribbon spool entirely when I use it. So, that works perfectly.
I have a video explaining things it more and showing you a bit closer. You can view it on my YouTube channel HERE or watch it below.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I sure appreciate it. If you make one of these, I’d love to see it. =)
Have a blessed day!

Hi Robyn,
Oh can you please post your husband over to me for a few weeks. I just adore the units for the punches, ribbons etc.
Hugs to you both, and hope you and the “kiddo’s” are all keeping well.
