Hi Everyone, so excited to share with you what my dear, sweet husband made for me. It is an over-the-door wooden punch storage that took him about 2 hours in all to create. All supplies were purchased at Lowes (hardware store) for right around $30 (he already had some of the 1/2″ dowels).
Each row holds 7 of the Stampin’ Up! EK Success punches to give you an idea of size. It measures 6′ x 24″ and has 11 rows of dowels. The dowels were spaced according to my punches so the spacing may differ if you decide to make your own based on the punches you own. I just love this though! It is just what I needed. =)
The side boards are 1″ x 3″ x 6′ and the backing is a wood like OSB board. I have no idea how to spell it but it sounds like “leu-on”. Lowes cut the board for him and he has enough to make a board left to create another one of these. The dowels are 1/2″. I could have taken the time to paint or stain it and maybe eventually I will. I was just excited and wanted to see what it looked like all put together!
Here is what it looked like empty to give you a better idea…
For the over-the-door part, he used 4″ “L” brackets and bent them to fit out door (a pack of 4 was about $3.50).
