Happy Resurrection Sunday!
It’s Easter! I love what today represents and what it means to me personally in my own life; the relationship that I can have with my Saviour because of the events that took place nearly 2000 years ago. I’m so grateful for the finished work of calvary. I hope each of you that celebrate this glorious day have a wonderful time with your loved ones creating special memories.
We had a great Church service at our friend’s church in Dublin this morning and then a nice lunch afterwards. We’re at the hotel now where we’ll be until we fly out on Tuesday morning heading to the States. For those of you that have asked, yes, we are planning on coming back to Ireland although not until the beginning of September (when we have our son all registered for college.) We’re all looking forward to a good summer spent with friends and family!
Okay, so I mentioned to you the other day that I made silly little cards for my kiddos to go with their treat bags that I shared. I had planned on sharing them before today, but in preparation for moving we had our internet turned off at our house before I was ready, so I didn’t get a chance to.
Here’s what I made (not original to me, but I’ve seen them in so many places that I’m not sure whom to credit with the original idea).

I used the Sizzix scallop circle die to make the card base. I folded a piece of 10″ x 5″ piece of white cardstock in half and laid the fold below the scallop of 3 of the circles so that it would not cut all the way through the card. I then ran the front of my scalloped card through my Big Shot using a swirls Cuttlebug folder. I then lightly inked the swirls and edge of the scalloped card using light grey Stampin’ Up! ink. The rest of the sheep came together using black cardstock and different punches (word window, scallooped oval, ex. large oval and small oval punches). I added a bit of black chunky glitter to the “ears” and then added some googley-eyes. My kiddos all happen to LOVE sheep! Being in Ireland you see a lot of them and especially this time of year with all of the baby lambs being born – soooo cute! So, they thought these cards were ubber adorable. They made them smile and chuckle and ooohhh and awwww, so I was a happy mom today. :c)

Here is what I stamped on the inside of each of them. This is a stamp called Easter Blessings Script from I Brake for Stamps. I really like the font and wish I could actually write like that! So pretty! If you like this and want to add it to your Easter stamps for next year, you can get 10% off using my discount (SAVE10ROBYN). IBFS ships international at very reasonable price and very fast too. They are located in California, USA, and I love them! I always like to share my discount with you because if you’re like me, you like a savings too.
Anyway, must run for now, it’s time for some hugs and smiles with the family. I love you all and appreciate your friendship. I hope you have a wonderful day! Hugs!

What an adorable card, Robyn… and in reply to Tracy, HE IS RISEN INDEED!! :-)
Love the little sheep. I saw one very similar recently and when I saw it, just sat down and made one with the punches I had. I love the embossed swirls – didn’t think of that. Think the one I saw had the head down a little further. It’s so cute though. Happy Easter to you and your family and welcome soon back to the states.

Great card. So cute. I’m always wondering if you and your husband are missionaries in Ireland. Just curious since you will be in the states all summer. I love your blog. God bless you.
