Carnation Collage

Happy Thursday to each of you! I hope you’re having an enjoyable day. I’ve been busy packing…and packing…and packing, but couldn’t help but stop and have a little creative time away from it all. Just 18 days before we fly back to the States and 10 days until my kiddos are finished with school for the year (at the sacrifice of Christmas break and many, many Saturdays!) They’ve worked hard, but it will all be worth it when they have a nice summer break. I know my hubby and I are sure ready for some relaxing days! It’s been a busy, busy year for our family.

I’ve been wanting to grab the new Beloved Carnation Collage stamp from I Brake for Stamps that I got back in February and experiment with it a bit, so that’s just what I did today. I’m pretty new to collage coloring, but it was fun to just sit and play with ink. I stamped and embossed the collage stamp onto watercolor paper and then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I did the same with a piece of vellum. I trimmed them both out, not sure which I’d like better. I used my Aqua Painter and ink pads to color in the image and then trimmed the flower out of the vellum one to add a bit more dimension by layering it on the one that I water colored.

Rose Collage Card

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  You always make my day a little bit brighter.  xx

Another beautiful creation! Isn’t wonderful to have the freedom to move your school time around to work for your family and special times. That was always such a blessing for us. Hope all goes smoothly for your trip. :-)
