12 Tags of Christmas: Day 4
I’m playing along with Tim Holtz’s 12 tags of Christmas 2010. This is day #4.
Hello Ladies,
I hope you are enjoying December as much as I am so far. I LIVE for busy, busy and absolutely love the 24 days leading up to Christmas day. Cheerfulness and smiles are in abundance as the Christmas spirit takes hold of most of the western world. The Christmas music blaring and me singing like nobody’s business trying to harmonize with good ‘ole Bing Crosby. Besides crafting, I LOVE to sing!!! Ahhhh, there is so much to do and yet I feel like I need to squeeze each and every moment out of each day because I don’t want to miss a thing. I want to be everywhere that has something “Christmassy” going on. :c) Fa la la la laaaa, la la la laaaaaa!
So this brings me to the few moments that I was able to spend in my craft room today to work on Tim’s 12 Tags of Christmas. I’m so happy to be working right along with Tim on his posting days. I just knew I was going to fall behind but so far, so good. Now, I’m not a big fan of Santa, but in keeping with Tim’s tag layout, I thought this My Mind’s Eye Signature Christmas paper stack from last year fit the bill.

I added the patterned paper to my #8 shipping tag and then cut out the santa from one of the other papers. I adhered it to the tag using dimensionals. I didn’t have the bling he used, so I simply added some ribbon, and then adhered (one-by-one) the flat-backed pearls. I added a part of a Prima Say it in Crystals and Pearls along the right side.

I made the charms with supplies from my stash. I didn’t have his gorgeous facets, so I just used a fragment and backed it with a Crafty Secrets Victorian Christmas photo. I added a Stampin’ Up! rub-on (Dec 25th) before adhering the photo to the fragment.
Here is Tim’s Day 4 tag:

I had a question about yesterday’s tag asking what I used for the snow. I didn’t have Tim’s stamp so I used an old Stampin’ Up! set called “Sprinkles”; which has a splatter stamp in it. However, I was noticing that the acrylic paint was getting a greenish tint from the inking job, so the next layer of paint I added I just used the end of a paint brush and dabbed on the paint. I finished it off by adding some Polar White Flower soft to the wet paint. Hope that makes sense. :c)
Thank you so much for all of the nice comments that I’ve received. I really do appreciate you taking the time to leave me a kind word and enjoy reading them. You make me *smile*. xx
