Handmade Card: Any Occasion
Lovely handmade card for any occasion of 2 young girls reading on a hillside; which I have stamped and colored. Lots of layers on this card.
Happy September 1st to each of you! With the changing of the month comes (to many of us) the change of schedule as children resume school, the changing of the season with the lovely rich colors of autumn, and lots of summer photos that we can begin to think about scrapping.
For today though, as I looked at this stamped image it just reminded me of a relaxing day our family had not long ago when we too our picnic blankets and headed across the street to the park and just laid on the grass and spent a couple of hours reading and just soaking up the sunshine. It seemed as every summer, that it was here and gone before we knew it.
So this card is dedicated to those lazy days of summer, to bid them a fond farewell for 2010. I’m not rushing in the cooler weather, just a wistful goodbye to the low pressure schedule we so enjoyed.

This gorgeous stamp is from the Scenic and People from I Brake for Stamps. What a lot of wonderful images in this set, wouldn’t you agree? They are truly all sweet; I’ve had fun playing with them. I colored in the image using my Stampin’ Up! Watercolor crayons and my AquaPainter.
Thanks for stopping by today, I truly appreciate it. I would love to hear from you as to a special summer memory you have or anything in particular you’d like to share. Have a wonderful rest of your week. Enjoy today! xx
